Book Talk for Additive Schooling in Subtractive Times: Bilingual Education and Dominican Immigrant Youth in the Heights

On Thursday December 8th the City College of New York Bilingual Education/TESOL program will be holding a book panel about a successful bilingual high school in Washington Heights.  It will take place from 5:15-7:15pm in NAC 1/202 at CCNY (138th Street & Convent Avenue, Harlem, NYC).  The panel will include the authors (Lesley Bartlett and Ofelia García), the school’s principal, an ESL teacher, and a school alum who is now a CCNY undergrad.
